ChinaGAP an important step in rebuilding trust in Chinese food safety (Sept 2009)

Sep 2009

GLOBALGAP recently announced the successful completion of benchmarking of ChinaGAP against its Good Agricultural Practice reference code. With the ChinaGAP certification mechanism in place, Chinese producers will soon be able to benefit from its affiliation with the internationally recognised GLOBALGAP organization and to rebuild trust in their food products for the global market.

ChinaGAP has two levels – the first is an entry level to encourage early adoption of Good Agricultural Practices and earn related certification; the second level is where food producers can receive the GLOBALGAP equivalence mark – bringing international recognition to Chinese farm products.
