Fair Trade USA has released its 2010 Almanac. The report acts as a barometer of the health and growth of sales and brand recognition of fair trade certified goods in America.
Highlighted growth areas include fair trade coffee, cocoa (sales up 67%), citrus (up 96%) and sugar (60%).
This annual report reviews more than 9,500 Fair Trade Certified consumer products offered by over 700 industry partners. The products are available from some 60,000-plus retailers in the US.
In the 12 years since its inception, Fair Trade USA has established the Fair Trade certified label as the leading mark of sustainability and responsible sourcing.
