Working with over 400 artisans, COMPARTE is Chile's largest Fair Trade organization. Alternative trading organizations (ATOs) like ours are created to benefit small producers who are economically underprivileged. We find viable markets that pay fair prices for their high-quality handcrafted goods. This provides the workers with an alternative to exploited labor, allowing them to obtain or maintain a decent standard of living. We promote the concept of Fair Trade by creating marketing initiatives that stimulate the knowledge about traditional products and cultural values in Chile while also educating the buyers about the challenges faced by our producers.
