Antex Furniture, one of leading exporters of teak garden furniture based in Central Java, Indonesia, is a member of WWF Global Forest & Trade Network (GFTN) through GFTN Indonesia with respect to its global purchasing and forestry operations in Indonesia. The GFTN is WWF's initiative to eliminate illegal logging and drive improvements in forest management. Every year, more than 30 million acres of natural forest are destroyed to meet the growing global demand for wood and agricultural products. This, as we all know, has a devastating impact on climate change. To ensure that we do not contribute to this figure, we become a member of WWF-GFTN through GFTN Indonesia. Cooperating together, Antex helps to conserve forest welfare and keep it sustainable by using only the finest timber from well managed teak plantation. Our's company wood material supply base comprises 95% "known licensed sources" as defined by the GFTN. We are committed to promoting responsible forestry and credible certification.
GFTN, as a WWF-led partnership, links hundreds companies, communities, NGOs, and entrepreneurs in more than 30 countries around the world. The goal is to create a new market for environmentally responsible forest products. The GFTN exists to support and facilitate greater coordination of national and regional efforts to expand responsible and credibly certified forest management. GFTN participants are committed to increasing the availability of forest products from well managed forests.
