The Carbon Disclosure Project launched in 2000 to collect and distribute high quality information that motivates investors, corporations and governments to take action to prevent dangerous climate change. 3,700 of the largest companies globally as measured by market capitalization receive the CDP questionnaire each year. The majority of them disclose to CDP.
