The Carbon Disclosure Project launched in 2000 to collect and distribute high quality information that motivates investors, corporations and governments to take action to prevent dangerous climate change. Institutional investors including banks, pension funds, asset managers and insurance companies who sign the CDP questionnaire are known as 'CDP signatories'. CDP signatories include global investment and finance houses such as Banco do Brasil, Bank of America, Barclays, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Mitsubishi UFJ, Morgan Stanley, National Australia Bank, Nedbank and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group.
