Description
Living Forest is a co-operative project between the forestry, the forest industry, the labour movement, outdoor recreation organizations and environmental organizations to promote ecologically sustainable forestry with a good balance between wood production, environment protection and social interests. The Living Forest standard is being used as an important basis for forest certification in Norway. The Living Forests Standard for sustainable forest management in Norway has 25 requirement sections, each holding specific requirements that together cover areas and actions that have an environmental impact on or are of importance for forest management.
