Description

In the carpet industry, The Carpet and Rug Institute(CRI) set out to provide the commercial market with a single easy-rating certification system for carpet and rugs. With the assistance of NSF International, a leader in standards development and product certification, a Sustainable Carpet Assessment Standard was created.  NSF/ANSI Standard 140 Manufacturers, suppliers, architects, designers and government procurement now have a U.S. National Standard for the production of sustainable carpets and rugs: NSF/ANSI 140, Sustainable Carpet Assessment. Written through a public process by a multi-stakeholder group of manufacturers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, customers, end-users, academia and other industry participants, the standard enables organisations throughout the carpet supply chain to achieve sustainable attributes and demonstrate compliance. Independent certification to NSF 140 provides you the highest level of credibility in a marketplace with numerous and confusing green claims.
