Overview

The Climate, Community & Biodiversity Alliance (CCBA) is a private, not-for-profit partnership based-effort of non-governmental organizations, corporations and research institutes which aim to promote the development of land management activities. The CCBA has developed voluntary standards to evaluate land-based carbon mitigation projects in the early stages of development.

Key Features

* The CCB Standards is a project-design standard which
focuses on social and environmental performance. It does not include a mechanism for generating emissions
reductions certificates. As a result, it is recommended that it is used in conjunction with a carbon accounting standard such as the Verified Carbon Standard or the Clean Development Mechanism.
