SAI Platform's Working Groups have developed Principles and Practices on sustainable agriculture for Dairy, Fruit, Vegetable and Arable Crops and Coffee. Each of these documents cover objectives falling under the categories of Sustainable Farming Systems and Economic, Social and Environmental Sustainability.

SAI Platform seeks involvement from all food chain stakeholders willing to play an active role in the development, recognition and implementation of sustainable practices for mainstream agriculture. Its Advisory Council consists of representatives from NGOs, farmers organizations, research institutes and other stakeholders groups.
